Summary: The Contract Officer role at Primary Eyecare Services involves supporting the Service Development Directorate through responsibilities such as reporting, stakeholder engagement, project management, and communications. The position requires a proactive individual with strong planning and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will work autonomously while building relationships with internal and external colleagues to enhance service delivery. This is a new role aimed at shaping and developing critical functions within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate monthly and quarterly contract performance reports, manipulate data on Excel, and write narratives to support data presentation while meeting deadlines.
  • Work with the Governance team to develop quality reporting templates and produce required reports.
  • Collaborate with Contract Managers and Clinical Leads to create presentations and reports for commissioners, maintain Directorate trackers, and build relationships to drive consistency and efficiencies.
  • Support communications to sub-contractors, attend engagement events, provide procurement support, develop SOPs, and manage failsafe processes.
  • Handle various administrative tasks, including maintaining logs, managing inboxes, and updating policies and data for reporting.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 5 GCSEs (Including English and Mathematics) / A levels or equivalent.
  • Experience working in an administration function supporting the work of other team members.
  • Management and oversight of projects/workstreams.
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work appropriately with high levels of confidential and sensitive information.
  • Generating reports with complex information.
  • Extensive use of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to express information clearly.
  • Problem-solving skills and confidence in working with senior team members.
