Summary: Exalto Consulting is seeking a Contract Network Security Engineer for an initial 6-month period, offering a daily rate of £450. The role requires hybrid working in Cheshire, with on-site presence needed 2 to 3 days a week and occasional travel to other European sites. Candidates should possess proven experience in network security and related technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proven experience in network security, with a strong understanding of network security fundamentals, encryption technologies, and secure network design principles.
- Knowledge of Zscaler Private Access & Internet Access and zero trust.
- Proficiency in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, etc.).
- Experience with intrusion detection/prevention systems and SIEM tools, as well as security incident response.
- Conduct regular security assessments, including penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
- Design and implement secure network architectures, including firewalls and encryption technologies.
- Adhere to enterprise governance and review processes to deliver project goals and deliverables.
- Follow enterprise ITSM and CMDB processes.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in network security.
- Strong understanding of network security fundamentals and encryption technologies.

Exalto Consulting are currently recruiting for a contract network security engineer, this is initially 6 months paying £450 a day depending on experience. This is hybrid working in Cheshire need to be on site 2/3 days a week with some occasional travel to other sites in Europe.
Essential skills for the roles:
- Proven experience in network security, with a strong understanding of network security fundamentals, encryption technologies, and secure network design principles.
- Zscaler Private Access & Internet Access knowledge of zerotrust
- Proficiency in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting firewalls. Cisco, Palo Alto etc,.
- Experience with intrusion detection/prevention systems, as well as with SIEM tools and security incident response.
- Conduct regular security assessments, including penetration testing and vulnerability assessments, to identify and remediate potential security risks.
- Design and implement secure network architectures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption technologies.
- Adhere to enterprise governance & review processes to deliver project goals & deliverables.
