Summary: The Redline Group is seeking a Contract Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in Solidworks for a Gloucestershire-based client, with an initial contract duration of 3-6 months. The role involves hybrid working, starting with on-site engagement to familiarize with the project. The position is outside IR35, allowing candidates to operate through their own PSC, and focuses on reverse engineering and redesigning electro-mechanical products. Key Responsibilities:
- Support on a highly technical project to reverse engineer and change designs on a product range.

About The Redline Group are working with our Gloucestershire-based customer to secure the services of a Contract Mechanical Design Engineer - Solidworks on an initial 3-6 month basis. The role can be completed on a hybrid working basis, with an initial period of time fully on site to get up to speed with the project. This role has an indicative OUTSIDE IR35 determination therefore we can accept candidates who would like to operate through their own PSC. Our customer has a strong presence in both commercial and domestic markets, supporting their ever-expanding client base with sophisticated electro-mechanical products. You will come into the team to support on a highly technical project to reverse engineer and change designs on a product range. This will involve significant internal liaison as well as problem solving and documentation, and the role will be ideal for someone who is used to finding missing puzzle pieces in design and can think outside the box.
Key Skills required - Contract Mechanical Design Engineer - Solidworks, Gloucestershire:
- Strong experience of working with Solidworks and the associated PDM
- Proven experience of reverse engineering a product design to resolve technical issues
