Summary: The Contract Manufacturing Readiness Lead at Ultra Maritime is responsible for designing and implementing the UK manufacturing process to replicate US production standards while ensuring compliance with local regulations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design the UK manufacturing process to reproduce the US build at required volumes, including layout, tooling, capital equipment, and workstation setup.
  • Understand existing build processes from drawings, documentation, and BoMs to develop replication plans in compliance with local laws.
  • Analyze current cycle times and generate capacity models, including resource planning and cost estimation.
  • Support production planning studies and inform the make/buy process while validating the production process.
  • Establish quality equivalents between US and UK lines and support qualification and certification of UK production.
  • Collaborate with Ultra Maritime Engineering and Production counterparts in the US, including travel and cross-time zone working.

Job Description

Design the UK manufacturing process to reproduce the US build at the required volumes; including layout, tooling, capital equipment and workstation setup

Accurately understand the existing build process from drawings, documentation and BoMs and develop plans to replicate it in the UK to local health, safety and environmental law while preserving equivalence to the US qualified process

Analyse current cycle times and generate capacity models, including resource planning and cost estimation

Support the production planning study, contributing to production requirements, inform make/buy process and understand work required to validate the process.

Work with ITAR Controlled Technical data in accordance with defined procedures

Establish quality equivalents between the US and UK lines and support qualification and certification of UK production including lot acceptance testing infrastructure

Work closely with Ultra Maritime Engineering and Production counterparts at the US Source site, including periods of travel and cross time zone working,
