Are you a skilled contract Manufacturing / Process engineer with expertise in optoelectronic subsystems and a passion for developing cutting-edge technology? GTS is seeking Contract Manufacturing / Process Engineers to work on an indicated outside IR35 project for a defence & Space company. Key Responsibilities of the Contract Manufacturing / Process Engineer: Take ownership of manufacturing release, including creating drawings, instructions, labour timings, and method routes. Act as the subject matter expert in manufacturing technologies, collaborating with design teams, production departments, and customers on multi-channel optical communication products. Define and execute qualification plans for new products and capabilities in partnership with the quality team. Requirements of the Contract Manufacturing / Process Engineer: Degree or equivalent experience in engineering, electronics, or a related discipline. Proven experience in multi-channel optoelectronic package assembly, from fibre to die level. Demonstrated success in transitioning new products to full-volume production. Familiarity with fibre product manufacturing processes, equipment, and alignment of multi-fibre arrays (4, 8, or 12 channels). Knowledge of materials and technologies for ceramic, thick film, MCM, and PCB-based solutions. Advantageous: Lean manufacturing experience with tools like PFMEA and process flow mapping.
