THE ROLE
Reporting into senior leadership and working alongside the operational management team, you will: Provide senior-level oversight across a portfolio of contracts and operational workstreams.
Act as the connecting link between senior leadership, Operations Managers, Supervisors, clients and delivery teams.
Develop trusted client relationships and represent the business at contract and performance review meetings.
Own client expectations, escalations and service issues from start to resolution.
Support and, where needed, constructively challenge operational managers so priorities stay clear and commitments are met.
Track contract performance, service levels, quality standards, risk and emerging operational issues.
Brief senior leadership on performance, priorities, risks and recommended next steps.
Assess current processes and implement practical improvements to communication, workflow, reporting and accountability.
Champion consistency across operational teams and service areas.
Contribute to contract retention and long-term client relationship building.
Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement.
ABOUT YOU
Your career has likely progressed from a trade, construction, property-maintenance or building-services background into contracts or operational management.
You understand what good operational and site delivery looks like, and you have the credibility and confidence to manage senior client relationships.
You'll ideally bring: Substantial experience in Contracts Management, Operations Management or senior service delivery.
A background in construction, property maintenance, social housing, building services, multi-trade, mechanical, heating, plumbing or a related contracting sector.
Solid understanding of planned and reactive operational delivery.
Proven client-facing and stakeholder-management skills.
The ability to support, guide and constructively challenge operational managers.
Strong organisational skills, able to juggle multiple contracts, risks and deadlines.
Sound commercial judgement and awareness.
Confident, clear communication.
A natural authority that earns respect without a heavy corporate style.
The confidence to manage upwards, spot issues early and propose solutions.
A relationship-driven approach with real commitment to accountability and quality.
