Contract Maintenance Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Contract Maintenance Engineers to join a manufacturing facility located on the East London/Essex border.

These are long-term contract opportunities for engineers with a proven background maintaining machinery within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

There are currently two positions available with different shift patterns.

Position 1

Shift Pattern: 2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 Off

Rate: 40 per hour

Position 2: Shift Pattern: Rotating Monday to Friday Shifts

• 6:00am - 2:00pm
• 2:00pm - 10:00pm
• 10:00pm - 6:00am

Key Duties

• Planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding
• Diagnosing and repairing production machinery
• Ensuring maximum equipment uptime
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintaining health and safety standards across the site

Requirements

• Mechanical or Electrical qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)
• Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
• Experience maintaining production or factory machinery
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
• Multi-skilled engineers are preferred
