The Role
As a Contract Maintenance Engineer, you ll provide hands-on engineering support to production, helping to keep plant and equipment safe, reliable and running efficiently throughout the night.
You ll be responsible for:
- Reactive and planned maintenance across production equipment and auxiliary systems
- Fault finding and repairs across electrical and mechanical systems
- Supporting production to minimise downtime
- Completing planned maintenance tasks and engineering documentation
- Maintaining high standards of engineering and repair
- Updating CMMS records
- Supporting continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
What are we looking for?: We re looking for a Contract Maintenance Engineer who is:
- Time-served/apprentice-trained
- C&G/NVQ Level 3 qualified; ONC/HNC advantageous
- Strong across electrical and mechanical maintenance
- Experienced within food or FMCG manufacturing essential
- A confident fault finder with a proactive approach
- Comfortable working independently on 12-hour night shifts
