Summary: The role of Contract Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) involves supporting the manufacturing process by addressing equipment breakdowns, performing scheduled maintenance, and proactively resolving recurring machine faults. Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and ensure maximum focus on the nominated production area.
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance work and proactively correct recurring machine processing faults.
  • Fault find effectively using historical documentation of various machines.
  • Establish harmonious relations with operational staff and work flexibly with them.
  • Train operational team members in minor maintenance tasks and assist in major repairs.
  • Ensure machinery is maintained and repaired to a high standard.
  • Proactively reduce engineering downtime and continuously improve processes and the department.

Key Skills:

  • Completion of a time-served engineering apprenticeship.
  • Experience with food, meat slicing, and thermoforming equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and organize efficiently.

gap technical are proud to be representing this market leading manufacturing business in their search for an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to work at their facility based near Deeside

Performance Objectives
To support the manufacturing process by responding effectively to equipment breakdowns, carrying out scheduled maintenance work and being proactive on the correction and modification of reoccurring machine processing faults.
To respond effectively to equipment breakdowns and ensure maximum focus is given to their nominated production area
To fault find in an effective and efficient manner whilst utilising the various machines historic / information documentation
To establish harmonious relations with the operational staff and to work flexibly with them
To train operational team members to perform minor maintenance tasks and to assist in major repairs
Ensuring that machinery is maintained and repaired to a high standard.
Pro-active in the reduction of engineering downtime and continuous improvement of the process and the department.

Person Specification
The successful candidate will ideally of completed a Timeserved engineering apprenticeship
Experience with Food, Meat Slicing and Thermoforming equipment will be a distinct advantage.
You must be an excellent communicator and be able to plan and organise efficiently.
