Key Responsibilities:
- Support end-to-end procurement processes and drive commercial negotiations.
- Work closely with the contracts team on project-based activities.
- Develop strong relationships with suppliers and manage a group of suppliers.
- Facilitate the purchase of materials, including sourcing new suppliers and supporting supplier consolidation projects.
- Collate and analyze order requirements and supplier information for alignment.
- Negotiate prices to ensure cost efficiency and drive on-time delivery.
- Manage strong supplier relationships and stakeholder engagement.
Key Skills:
- Experience as an Indirect Buyer in FMCG, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Knowledge of purchasing a wide range of indirect items (spares, CAPEX, facilities, IT, consumables, logistics).
- High level of commercial contractual awareness and negotiation skills.
- Working knowledge of SAP / ERP / MRP systems.
- Strong MS Excel skills for analysis.

Contract Indirect Buyer Immediate start available Hourly rate based on £40,000 per annum, PAYE Inside IR35 12 months + - T he role will initially be for a 12 month contract with potential for further extension or possibly opportunity of temp-perm The role: Due to continued product innovation we are actively seeking a tenacious Indirect Buyer to play a key role supporting end to end procurement, driving commercial negotiations and working closely with the contracts team to support project-based activities. As Indirect Buyer, this will be an interesting and varied role working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment across Facilities, MRO, IT. Professional services and logistic commodities. You’ll be externally facing developing strong relationships with the supply chain for mutual benefit. You will have good autonomy, having ownership for a group of suppliers, facilitating the purchase of all materials which will span sourcing new suppliers as well as supporting supplier consolidation projects. With a focus on quality, cost and delivery you will collate and analyse order requirements and supplier information to ensure alignment. As well as negotiating price to ensure cost efficiency, you will drive on time delivery to meet business needs. You will also utilise your purchasing expertise to manage strong supplier relationships. You will be adept at managing stakeholders as well as driving action within the supply chain. To succeed in this role you will ideally be an experienced Indirect Buyer with Experience of purchasing a wide range of indirect items such as spares, CAPEX, facilities (waste, cleaning) IT, consumables through to logistics Be experienced working in an indirect role in a FMCG, manufacturing or related industry High level of commercial contractual awareness alongside first-class negotiation skills Working knowledge of SAP / ERP / MRP systems Strong MS Excel skills for analysis In return this will be a key, varied role, offering the chance to really impact on indirect purchasing and with potential for growth long term for the right individual.
