Summary: This role is for a Contract Senior Accountant within the Corporate/Group Accounts function of a leading Lloyd's insurer, focusing on a 12-month maternity cover. The position involves a variety of accounting responsibilities, including consolidations, statutory reporting, and regulatory compliance, making it ideal for a qualified accountant with insurance experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Production of consolidations and group reporting to the parent company
- Legal entity reporting including commentary on key movements
- UK and overseas statutory reporting
- Preparation of board papers for sign off
- Supporting with Regulatory reporting including Lloyd's (eg QF1/AF1), UK and overseas regulators
- Development, streamlining and improvement of accounting process and controls including intercompany and balance sheet reconciliation processes
- Support for the corporate tax returns as well as Lloyd's related submissions
- Working closely with other finance teams to conduct broker financial reviews
- Ad hoc projects
Key Skills:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Demonstrable experience working within the insurance market (Lloyd's or company market)
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Ability to add value to finance teams
- Experience with regulatory reporting
- Proficiency in process improvement and controls
Salary (Rate): £95,000 per annum
