Summary: In this pivotal role as a Contract Executive within the Group Regulatory Compliance Department at OCBC, you will ensure compliance with regulatory standards in the Markets and Securities sector. Your expertise in regulatory compliance and contract negotiation will be essential in identifying and mitigating compliance risks while collaborating with senior stakeholders. You will also provide guidance on regulatory developments and implement compliance policies to uphold the bank's integrity and reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on contract and documentation matters to senior stakeholders across the business, including the Markets and Securities management team
- Collaborate with the business to identify and mitigate compliance risks, and develop strategies to address these risks
- Stay up-to-date on regulatory developments that impact Markets and Securities, and provide guidance on the implications of these developments for OCBC's business
- Work closely with the business to implement compliance policies and procedures, and monitor compliance with these policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain relationships with external parties, including regulators, law firms, and other financial institutions
Key Skills:
- A degree in a related field (e.g. business, finance), with a strong academic record
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance in a bank or external audit focusing on audit of financial institutions
- Familiarity with MAS regulations, FATCA, CRS, Volcker Rule and/or cross-border marketing requirements would be an advantage
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks relevant to Markets and Securities, including MAS regulations and international standards
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the business
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with a strong focus on delivering results and achieving business objectives
