Summary: The Contract Engineering Manager will serve as the lead engineering representative on a project, overseeing engineering delivery in terms of quality, compliance, and schedule. This role requires managing engineering resources and ensuring that all deliverables meet the program requirements. The position is critical in maintaining oversight of design development and delivering solutions that align with business needs in highly regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead engineering representative on the project and main point of contact for engineering matters.
• Responsible for engineering delivery regarding quality, compliance, safety, and schedule.
• Generate and maintain a complete list of engineering deliverables.
• Recommend budget and program to the Project Manager for design delivery.
• Assess suitability of engineering design resources for facility design.
• Ensure adequate competency and competency records are maintained.
• Lead and deliver designs with a focus on safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain oversight of design development through routine reviews.
• Deliver design solutions that meet business needs and are licensable.
• Manage Design Intent and Design Information Configuration from inception to handover.
• Provide support in identifying and implementing changes and improvements.
• Fulfill other reasonable duties aligned with the position as required.

Key Skills:

• Current SC Clearance.
• HNC/D qualification.
• Formal Project Management/Delivery qualifications (e.g., MAPM).
• Experience in delivering cross-discipline design packages.
• Ability to write technical specifications and briefs.
• Multi-disciplinary design leadership experience.
• Experience in high hazard environments.
• Experience managing external suppliers and in-house teams.
• Extensive experience in highly regulated environments (preferably nuclear/explosives).
• Experience in all aspects of the project life-cycle.
• Knowledge of CDM 2015 requirements.
• Experience with HAZOP processes.
