Contract Electronics Engineer

Contract Electronics Engineer Cambridge | Hybrid £50-65/hour

We're working with an established UK technology business as they look to strengthen their electronics team with an experienced contractor.

This is offered initially on a 6-month basis, with potential to move to a rolling contract.

You'll work embedded within an existing electronics team, supporting the design, capture and review of complex electronics designs - from requirements and schematic capture through to design reviews, PCB layout, board bring-up and system test.

What You'll Bring:

• A broad foundation in electronics design, with deeper experience in one or more of: embedded systems and control, power electronics, FPGA design, analogue sensor interfaces, or high-speed digital communications
• Experience taking electronic designs from inception through to manufacture
• Experience using Altium Designer for schematic capture and guiding PCB layout through to design outputs
• Knowledge of DFx principles, with experience collaborating with electronics manufacturers
• Good familiarity with design for EMC compliance
• A proven track record as a contractor, working embedded within client teams to deliver high-quality, complex electronics designs
• Background in a regulated industry (such as medical devices, aerospace, defence or automotive)
