Contract Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Summary: The role of Electrical Maintenance Engineer involves providing ongoing electrical and mechanical maintenance support within a leading manufacturing site in Bristol. The engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting, fault finding, and improving equipment performance while ensuring safety and effective communication. The position requires collaboration with various departments and participation in engineering projects. Candidates should have relevant qualifications and experience in FMCG environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reacting to breakdowns both electrically and mechanically, fault finding, analysing and continuously improving the site.
• Work closely with other departments to improve the site.
• Attend meetings as required, analyse data and find solutions to improve equipment performance whilst ensuring safe working practice and full communications are maintained at all times.
• Involved in projects within the business to develop an effective engineering install and commissioning.
• PLC fault finding.

Key Skills:

• A formal qualification in an electrical or mechanical engineering subject (apprentice served, NVQ, HNC or equivalent).
• Strong electrical experience preferable within a FMCG environment.
• Knowledge / experience of working with controls, analysing faults and providing solutions.
• Experience of both reactive and preventative maintenance.
• Good technical ability relating to automation hardware and software.
• Strong organisation and communication skills and the ability to work in a multi-disciplined team of varying levels of technical experience.

Salary (Rate): £36/hour
