RecOps is supporting a major media client in hiring a Data Platform Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) SME to help drive operational excellence across their enterprise data platform.

  • £470 per day (Inside IR35)

  • Start: ASAP

  • End: 15th June 2026

  • Location: Manchester or London (up to 2 days per week in the office)

Overview:
This role is focused on ensuring the data infrastructure runs efficiently and with high availability. You'll also work closely with Data Engineering teams to establish clear SLAs, data contracts, and data quality standards to restore trust in the organisation's data platform.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • AWS Certified

  • Strong alerting and monitoring using CloudWatch

  • Experience defining SLAs/SLOs and setting up data contracts

  • Implementing data quality frameworks

  • Background working in large-scale teams or complex corporate environments
