X4 Technology are partnered with a high-growth organisation seeking a contract Business Analyst to support their multi-year cloud migration programme.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for eliciting, questioning and challenging existing “as-is” processes, modelling them using BPMN 2.0 or similar standards. You’ll conduct data analysis in Excel to trace data sources, understand how the data is used and identify the decisions it supports. Building on these insights, you’ll pinpoint opportunities for process improvement and automation - whether through lean process optimisation, Excel automations (Power Query, macros) or RPA solutions (Blue Prism, UiPath)

Requirements for the Business Analyst (Process Modelling)

  • Demonstrable experience eliciting as-is processes (rather than reviewing pre-documented workflows)
  • Proven expertise in enterprise business process modelling using BPMN 2.0
  • Skilled in modelling front-stage (customer journey touchpoints) and back-stage (supporting operational) processes
  • Experience with data migration, analysis (legacy/target system data), mapping, modelling and advanced Excel functionality
  • Ability to identify and deliver process automation opportunities
  • Experienced in creating dashboards and performance reports using Excel or Power BI

This is an initial contract through to March 2026 (scope to extend), working hybrid 2 days per week in Manchester. Day rate is £400/d outside IR35. If you’re an experienced BA with strengths in eliciting as-is processes, data analysis and process improvement/automation, please apply online for immediate consideration.
