Summary: The role of Backend Software Developer involves working on a cloud-heavy, AI-enhanced project for a central government client within a growing digital consultancy. Candidates must possess strong experience in Node.js, Python, and AWS, and hold active SC or DV Clearance. The position requires collaboration in Agile teams and is focused on secure government environments. This contract role offers an initial duration of 6 months with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend systems using Node.js and Python.
- Implement cloud engineering solutions, primarily utilizing AWS services.
- Work with AWS services such as Lambda and S3.
- Utilize containerization and infrastructure tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, or Terraform.
- Deliver projects within the defence industry context.
- Collaborate effectively within Agile teams in secure environments.
Key Skills:
- Strong backend development experience in Node.js and Python.
- Proven expertise in cloud engineering, particularly with AWS.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, especially Lambda and S3.
- Familiarity with containerization and infrastructure tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, or Terraform.
- Prior experience in the defence industry.
- Exposure to AI/ML technologies is a plus.
