Summary: The role of Contracts Administrator involves managing contracting activities during the FEED and EPC phases for a leading EPC company. Responsibilities include developing contract RFPs, maintaining compliance with contract management standards, and managing subcontractor pre-qualification processes. The position requires strong client relationship management and contract negotiation skills, along with post-award contract management activities. This role is based in Newcastle and is classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of FEED contracting activities and Contracts team through FEED Phase and progression into EPC phase.
- Development of Contract RFPs to support FEED Phase and award of schedule critical packages.
- Support with development of Project Estimate and Schedule during FEED Phase.
- Development and management of Manpower Plans for Contract administration during FEED and EPC Phases.
- Maintain compliance with company Contract Management practices and procedures.
- Develop Client relationships through superior execution.
- Prepare, maintain, retrieve, and communicate records, reports, or documents for corporate and Contract Management requirements.
- Manage the Pre-Qualification process of subcontractors and monitor compliance to HSE, Quality, and Finance procedures.
- Prepare bid evaluations and award recommendations.
- Review and execute procedurally correct contracts and negotiate terms and conditions.
- Lead internal RFP meetings, contract pre-award meetings, and final negotiations.
- Analyze commercial sections of proposals and coordinate technical proposal evaluations.
- Perform contract management post-award activities including productivity evaluation and claims avoidance.
- Finalize outstanding contract issues and coordinate completion of contractor performance evaluations.
Key Skills:
- Relevant qualifications preferred but not mandatory.
- Relevant experience in contract administration and management.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage client relationships effectively.
- Knowledge of HSE, Quality, and Finance compliance procedures.
- Experience in developing and managing contract RFPs.
