Summary: The Content Manager Contractor role focuses on enhancing the capabilities of the Content Management System (CMS) and Digital Asset Manager (DAM) to support digital marketing and customer experience objectives. The position involves collaborating with various teams to improve internal user experiences, onboarding content authors, and ensuring best practices in content delivery. The contractor will also be responsible for mentoring junior team members and maintaining documentation for operational consistency. This is a strategic role that balances business needs with technical feasibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive continuous improvement of CMS capabilities
- Ensure content is delivered via the appropriate technical architecture, aligned with broader platform, data, and content strategies
- Work with CRO, Personalization, and Analytics Managers to create seamless internal business user experiences
- Onboarding, training and enablement of Content Authors
- Translate business requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria and prioritised deliverables
- Validate delivery, integrations and other functionality delivered by technical team
- Actively contribute in the design of new journeys to ensure CMS best practices are embedded
- Support release planning, UAT and post-release optimisation
- Create and maintain documentation to support onboarding, knowledge sharing, and operational consistency
- Mentor and train junior team members and end customers of the platform
Key Skills:
- Expert user of Contentful CMS and strong understanding of headless CMS and DAM best practices
- Experience delivering digital projects as part of an agile team
- Strong working knowledge of personalization tools such as Adobe Target and Ninetailed by Contentful
- Working knowledge of broader digital marketing ecosystem including product catalogues, digital identity, audience management (CDP), and privacy / consent
- Familiarity with server side web architecture, front end web development, json, and html
- Ability to work in a hybrid, virtual, and international team
- Strong business communication skills including delivering presentations and training

Role Purpose
This strategic role ensures our Digital Asset Manager (DAM, Adobe Experience Manager Assets) and Content Management System (CMS, Contentful) support digital marketing, commercial and customer experience objectives across markets, balancing business needs, technical feasibility and delivery velocity.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive continuous improvement of CMS capabilities
- Ensure content is delivered via the appropriate technical architecture, and is aligned with broader platform, data, and content strategies.
- Work with CRO, Personalization, and Analytics Managers to create seamless internal business user experiences that accelerate delivery velocity and reduce operational overhead, ensuring smooth experience for internal users
- Onboarding, training and enablement of Content Authors, guiding them through best practices and changes to the authoring experience
- Translate business requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria and prioritised deliverables.
- Validate delivery, integrations and other functionality delivered by technical team
- Actively contribute in the design of new journeys to ensure that CMS best practices are embedded from the start, e.g. that content models and content types are designed appropriately.
- Support release planning, UAT and postrelease optimisation.
- Create and maintain documentation to support onboarding, knowledge sharing, and operational consistency.
