Content Designer

Core Responsibilities

• Writing and Editing: Translate complex policy and 'government-speak' into clear, accessible, user focused digital content.
• User Focus: Ground design decisions in evidence using data analytics, user research insights, and usability testing.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with user researchers, interaction designers, software engineers, and product managers to deliver end-to-end services.
• Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with subject matter experts and policy leads to ensure technical accuracy while advocating for content standards and clarity.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in content management and information architecture
• Strong background in evidence-based, user-centred content design
• Expertise in iterative design within agile delivery environments
• Deep understanding of designing for accessibility and inclusion, meeting GOV.UK standards (WCAG 2.1 AA)
