Summary: The role of Content Analyst at a Global Entertainment Technology MNC involves analyzing various forms of media to extract metadata and insights that enhance AI-driven content recommendations. This initial 6-month contract offers opportunities for extension or conversion to a full-time position. The analyst will play a crucial role in shaping content personalization by collaborating across teams and utilizing internal tools to manage content data. A strong passion for entertainment and experience in content analysis are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Watch, consume and analyze content across movies, series, documentaries, animation, and more — deeply understanding what makes each title unique.
  • Label and tag content with structured metadata (e.g. themes, mood, pace, audience) to support AI and algorithm-based recommendations.
  • Summarize content insights clearly and objectively — think of it as helping someone understand a show/film/song in a few key points without watching it.
  • Collaborate across teams on projects that use content tagging to improve user experience, personalize content suggestions, and train AI algorithms.
  • Use internal tools and data systems (like Airtable or Google Sheets) to manage and organize large libraries of content.
  • Stay current with trends in entertainment and ensure the way content is analyzed reflects global viewing preferences.

Key Skills:

  • Prior experience in media, journalism, content analysis, or roles like Content Specialist, Metadata Analyst, or AI training and labeling.
  • Strong passion for entertainment, with deep knowledge of global content and the Hollywood entertainment space.
  • Sharp ability to recognize and explain narrative structure, genre differences, and thematic nuances in a clear and concise way.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with tight deadlines and high-quality expectations.
  • Must have software experience in using tools such as Airtable, Google Sheets, or other content/data management platforms.
  • Experience handling large content catalogs or databases is a plus.
  • SQL or Tableau good to have.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in an additional APAC language (e.g. Tagalog, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Bahasa Indonesia, or Mandarin) is a must have.
  • A flexible, curious mindset — open to evolving workflows and cross-team collaboration.
