Summary: The Consultant - Internal Control role involves establishing and managing the ICOSR strategy and governance, advising on risks and assurance activities, and coordinating with external auditors. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to improve internal control frameworks and ensure compliance with relevant standards. The consultant will also manage IT support systems and conduct training and communications related to internal controls. This contract position spans from April 21, 2025, to April 30, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish the ICOSR strategy, scope and priorities together with SSU and AFC Financial Reporting.
• Establish and manage ICOSR governance and the annual ICOSR wheel.
• Assist the organisation with establishing/improving, maintaining and quality assuring governing documents and control design (including IT general controls and entity level controls).
• Advise the organisation on risks and assurance activities.
• Manage inter-dependencies (and synergies) with ICOFR.
• Manage the ICOSR IT support system (SAP GRC) and support the organisation with reports, dashboards etc.
• Manage ICOSR self-assessment process, conduct risk-based testing activities and report coordinated status of ICOSR to the board audit committee.
• Coordinate dialogue with the external auditor on key ICOSR matters and status.
• Conduct general ICOSR communications, training and support to the organisation as needed.

Key Skills:

• Masters in Accounting, Auditing or similar subject.
• A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience of working with consulting, audit, accounting, internal audit or similar.
• Experience from key controls performance and development of internal control frameworks is an advantage.
• Strong professional skills with Internal control and CSRD requirements.
• Ability to communicate complex professional matters to those not specialised in ICOSR.
