The role
This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in one of CPC's flagship innovation programmes at the forefront of the construction and infrastructure sector. As a key delivery lead, you will work closely with industry partners, investors, and SMEs to accelerate innovation from concept through to real-world deployment and procurement for sector areas such as low carbon materials, productivity, health & safety and robotics. The role spans three critical areas: discovery, selection and support of high-potential businesses, the design and delivery of structured trials, and enabling commercial scale through procurement pathways. You will help shape a robust pipeline of innovative companies, ensure their solutions are rigorously validated in real-world environments, and support their progression into commercial adoption. You will be responsible for ensuring the operational success of the full accelerator programme cycle from pre-program and industry onboarding to delivery of a 3-4 month programme centred on industry trials and business support, culminating in a Demo Day. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role requiring strong stakeholder engagement, analytical rigour, and the ability to translate complex innovation into actionable, buyer-ready propositions. We are looking for experience in:
- Designing and managing open calls, assessment frameworks, and due diligence processes
- Managing SME onboarding, engagement, and progression across trial and commercial pathways
- Engaging industry partners (buyers, trial hosts, investors) to validate demand and shape pipelines
- Mobilising and managing trials with partners in live and controlled environments
- Monitoring performance and ensuring impact is captured
- Translating outputs into evidence packs, case studies, and adoption-ready insights
- Coordinating experts to support SME's commercialisation, investor readiness, and go to market strategies
- Coordinating stakeholder engagement, events, community-building, and programme visibility
- Developing repeatable playbooks, methodologies, and capturing impact and learning
