Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a defined inpatient bed base of approximately 15 beds.
• Support junior doctor teams on the ward.
• Conduct two sub-specialty sessions in nephrology, including establishing an ambulatory clinic.
• Contribute to the Internal Medicine on-call rota, currently on a 1 in 10 basis.

Key Skills:

• Medical qualification registered with the GMC.
• Entry onto the Specialist Register for GMC or within six months of obtaining CCT/CCST in GIM or equivalent.
• High standard of clinical skill and expertise in nephrology.
• Experience in teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate trainees.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and deliver patient-centered services.
• Commitment to continuing professional development.
