Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expertise in Acute Comprehensive Geriatric Medicine and sub-specialties such as Stroke Medicine and Ortho Geriatrics.
• Participate in the management of 81 acute Care of Elderly beds across various units.
• Conduct General Care of Elderly clinics and Specialist clinics for conditions like Stroke, TIA, Falls, Parkinson's disease, and Dementia.
• Engage in proactive case management and support community healthcare teams.
• Contribute to training and teaching junior medical staff and other health professionals.
• Participate in on-call duties for general medicine as required.
• Engage in audit and clinical governance activities.

Key Skills:

• CCT - Dual accreditation in General Internal Medicine (GIM) and Geriatric Medicine.
• Recent comprehensive experience in Geriatric Medicine.
• Entry on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT.
• Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
• MB ChB or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in audit and clinical governance.
• Commitment to training and teaching junior medical staff.
• Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team.
