Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the diagnosis and clinical management of patients in the AMU and SDEC unit.

• Participate in the Acute Medicine rota, including shifts and weekend cover.
• Promote the work of the AMU and support Trust priorities for patient flow and admission reduction.
• Engage in teaching, audit, governance, and research within the AMU.

Key Skills:

• MRCP or equivalent qualification.
• Full registration with the GMC and CCT in General Internal Medicine/Acute Internal Medicine.
• Experience of UK hospital systems and practices.
• Postgraduate experience including higher surgical/medical training.
• Training in diagnosis and treatment of acute medical conditions.
• Proven teaching ability and willingness to teach medical undergraduates and postgraduates.
