Summary: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Dermatologist to join an NHS Trust in England, specifically in Dorset, Southampton, and the Midlands. The role involves providing expert care in diagnosing and managing various dermatological conditions, including inflammatory skin diseases and skin cancer. The successful candidate will also engage in clinical leadership, teaching, and adherence to NHS guidelines. This position is offered on an ad-hoc contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality outpatient and inpatient dermatology services.
- Diagnose and manage a range of skin conditions, including performing minor surgical procedures.
- Provide clinical leadership and support to junior doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, research, and service development.
- Contribute to teaching and training of medical students and postgraduate trainees.
- Ensure adherence to NHS clinical guidelines and patient safety protocols.
Key Skills:
- Full GMC registration with a license to practise.
- Entry on the Specialist Register in Dermatology (or within six months of CCT at the time of interview).
- Extensive experience in general and surgical dermatology.
