Summary: The Construction Project Manager role at NES Fircroft involves overseeing construction management activities for projects in the Green Cement Industry across the USA. The position requires frequent travel to project sites and demands a strong background in cement manufacturing or industrial material handling. The ideal candidate will manage contractors, engineers, and vendors while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency throughout all project phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage construction projects from concept through commissioning for cement manufacturing, mining, and material handling facilities.
- Oversee contractors, engineers, and vendors to ensure adherence to safety standards, quality expectations, and schedule/budget compliance.
- Collaborate with plant operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to define project scopes, requirements, and deliverables.
- Perform site inspections and provide technical oversight during project execution.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and risk assessments.
- Ensure projects meet environmental, regulatory, and permitting requirements.
- Coordinate procurement of materials and services in collaboration with internal teams.
- Report on project status, metrics, and milestones to leadership and stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement in project execution, safety, and cost performance.
Key Skills:
- 10+ years of project management experience in heavy industrial construction, preferably in the cement, mining, or bulk material handling sectors.
- Strong understanding of industrial construction methods, equipment installation, and site logistics.
- Demonstrated ability to manage contractors, budgets, and timelines effectively.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety standards.
- Familiarity with concrete batching, kilns, crushers, conveyors, storage silos, and related equipment is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with project management software (MS Project, Primavera, or similar) and standard office tools.
- Engineering degree preferred but not required—technical acumen and field experience will be strongly considered.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Candidate can be based anywhere in the USA, but this position will require frequent travel to project construction sites throughout the country.
