Summary: The Construction Manager will lead the refurbishment of a care facility focused on mental health support and rehabilitation. This role involves overseeing site operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering the project on time and within budget. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high-quality standards throughout the refurbishment process. This position is fixed-term and based in Kettering, Northamptonshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee site operations for the refurbishment of the care facility.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards are met.
- Deliver the project on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
- Provide solutions to problems encountered during refurbishment projects.
- Manage stakeholder communications and maintain effective leadership.
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and schedules accurately.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience managing refurbishment projects.
- Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and Planning Laws.
- Understanding of fire safety standards in construction.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, including CDM 2015 and COSHH.
- SMSTS certification and CSCS Manager Card.
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and project management software.
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate (advantageous).
