Summary: The Construction Manager role involves overseeing mechanically oriented projects at the Immingham site for a leading bulk liquid transport and storage infrastructure company in Europe. The position requires managing contractors, ensuring safety compliance, and assisting with smaller projects as a Project Engineer. This is a 12-month contract role with a daily rate of £400-450, classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage mechanically oriented projects such as tank refurbishments, piping, pump installations, and civil projects like bund containment.
  • Oversee contractors on site and audit their progress.
  • Report on safety progress and ensure handover certification is in place.
  • Work in compliance with COMAH regulations.
  • Assist the Project Manager in delivering small low-risk projects as a Project Engineer.
  • Plan and manage the programme of works.

Key Skills:

  • Degree desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in tank storage projects.
  • Mechanical or E,C&I background.
  • Experience working to COMAH and CDM regulations.
  • Previous experience managing multi-discipline site works is desirable.
  • Experience as a Project Engineer on large CAPEX projects, managing multiple site works.

We are partnering with the leading bulk liquid transport and storage infrastructure company in Europe and one of the leading companies in this sector in the world.

Due to an increase in project demand they are now seeking to hire a Construction Manager for their Immingham site.

12 month contract

£400-450/day Inside IR35

In addition to the requirements of the Constuction Manager role the client is looking for someone with capability to fulfil the role of Project Engineer for smaller low risk projects.

Key aspects of the role

  • Managing Mechanically orientated projects such as tank refurbs, piping, pump installation, civils projects such as bund containment.
  • Oversee contractors on site and audit their progress
  • Report on safety progress
  • Ensure handover certification is in place
  • Working to COMAH regs
  • As Project Engineer Assist the Project Manager in the delivery of small low risk projects
  • Plan and manage the programme of works

Your experience and qualifications

  • Degree desirable but not essential
  • Experience of Tank Storage projects
  • Either Mechanical or E,C&I background
  • Experience of working to the COMAH and CDM regs
  • Previous experience of managing multi discipline site works - desirable
  • Previous experience of Project Engineer on large CAPEX projects, managing multiple site works
