- Review engineering deliverables, drawings, specifications and construction methodologies to ensure designs are safe, practical and suitable for construction.
- Lead constructability reviews, identifying potential construction risks, access constraints, temporary works requirements and opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Develop and review construction execution plans, site establishment requirements, construction schedules, resource plans and work-pack strategies.
- Work closely with engineering, procurement and project controls teams to ensure construction requirements are incorporated into design development and procurement activities.
- Coordinate construction interfaces between the principal contractor, engineering partners, specialist subcontractors and equipment suppliers, including the gas turbine and compressor package.
- Oversee site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and in accordance with project specifications and quality requirements.
- Manage subcontractors, construction personnel, site supervisors and specialist contractors, monitoring performance and resolving delivery issues.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation, CDM requirements, site procedures and applicable gas industry standards.
- Monitor construction progress against the project programme, identifying delays, risks and mitigation measures and reporting these to the project leadership team.
- Coordinate site logistics, lifting operations, materials management, temporary facilities and construction access arrangements.
- Support mechanical, piping, civils, structural, electrical, instrumentation and control system installation activities as applicable to the project scope.
- Work alongside commissioning teams to ensure systems are installed, inspected, tested and handed over in accordance with project requirements.
