Summary: The Construction Manager - Electrical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing construction activities at the project site, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and schedule standards. This role involves managing contractor performance, validating work against design requirements, and providing leadership to construction teams. The supervisor also plays a key role in budget oversight, scope control, and facilitating communication among various stakeholders. A strong emphasis is placed on safety and collaboration within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage construction work performed by contractors and/or vendors at the project site.
- Assess productivity, schedule compliance, work quality, and safety performance on the project.
- Manage walk downs of planned work, validate acceptance of completed work to design requirements, approve contractor payment requests, verify constructability, ensure proper resource allocations, assess field status, and resolve issues as needed.
- Oversee scope control, budget oversight, performance reporting, schedules, and work in progress to ensure effective implementation of assignments by Construction Supervisors.
- Provide leadership and coaching to Construction Supervisors and supplemental workforce, communicating departmental, station, and division goals.
- Clarify the role and responsibilities of the site Electrical Supervisor.
- Understand all drawings, contract documents, and quality documentation.
- Work collaboratively in a TEAM environment.
- Verify accuracy of all drawings, submittals, and specifications.
- Understand SCADA and fiber optics, as well as electrical and fiber testing methods.
- Collaborate with EPC, sub-contractors, NEER/FPL operations teams, and others on site.
- Report daily, weekly, and monthly on progress, quality control, and safety.
- Learn and use Unifier to record, name, and upload electrical installation QC photographs.
- Facilitate the Request for Information (RFI) process with the EPC and site engineering.
- Perform inspections of installed equipment to verify compliance with scope and specifications.
- Review project completion documentation.
- Interface with project's designated safety, engineering, and quality control parties.
- Facilitate field commissioning and turnover.
- Create good relationships with the EPC and others on site.
- Ensure safety is the number one priority on all sites.
- Understand and follow all company rules and policies.
Key Skills:
