Summary: The Construction HSE Manager will oversee health, safety, and environmental activities for a significant expansion project at a vegetable processing plant in Liverpool. This site-based role requires hands-on leadership and compliance with UK HSE legislation, ensuring safety standards are met across multiple contractors and stakeholders. The position is contract-based for 18 months, offering a competitive daily rate. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial projects and a strong understanding of HSE regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day HSE activities on site
  • Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation, CDM Regulations and client HSE standards/procedures
  • Review and manage RAMS, permits to work and method statements
  • Conduct site inspections, audits and toolbox talks
  • Manage incidents, near misses and corrective actions
  • Report HSE performance to the project and client teams

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Construction HSE Manager or Senior HSE Advisor on industrial projects
  • Strong working knowledge of UK HSE legislation and CDM
  • Experience in process, food, FMCG, oils & fats, or manufacturing environments
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (Diploma preferred)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, contractor-led site environment

Construction HSE Manager - Plant Expansion Project - Liverpool - £450-550/day outside IR35 - 18 months +

We're recruiting for an experienced Construction HSE Manager to support a large-scale expansion project to a vegetable processing plant

This is a site-based contract role, providing hands-on HSE leadership on a busy industrial construction site with multiple contractors and stakeholders.
