Summary: The Configuration Engineer role is a 6-month contract position based in Stevenage, focusing on supporting the Configuration Manager in a leading Defence and Aerospace company. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Configuration Manager of any given Project, including responsibility for Product definition and/or Configuration Management.
- Communicate with stakeholders and promote the Configuration Management group with internal customers.
- Manage the correct design definitions for potentially multiple product variants on behalf of the project.
- Implement engineering changes and review engineering changes.
- Draft Configuration Management document updates to the project Configuration Manager.
Key Skills:
- Knowledge regarding principles of Configuration Management.
- High degree of IT literacy.
- Awareness of relevant internal and external customer requirements and standards.
- Ability to reflect engineering input through the engineering change process.
