Summary: The Configuration Audit Engineer role is a contract position focused on the Hinkley Point C project, a major nuclear energy initiative in the UK. The engineer will ensure that As-Built information aligns with Site Compliant Design, maintaining high safety and quality standards. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with expertise in configuration management and a strong background in the nuclear industry. The role involves conducting audits, developing strategies, and engaging with stakeholders to address non-conformances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the go-to expert for configuration audit processes, supporting Engineering Managers and Design Entities
- Develop and implement Configuration Audit Strategies and Processes to ensure compliance across the project
- Conduct in-depth audits, reviewing engineering documentation and ensuring consistency with design requirements
- Author detailed audit reports, providing critical insights and ensuring non-conformances are addressed
- Coordinate end-to-end configuration audit activities, engaging with key stakeholders and managing resolutions
Key Skills:
- Degree-qualified in a relevant engineering or science discipline, or extensive technical experience
- ICM CM2 certified or equivalent expertise in Configuration Management
- Strong nuclear industry experience, particularly in complex infrastructure projects
- Expertise in engineering documentation control, including Redline Drawings, Work Pack Management, As-Built Information, and Change Management
- Familiarity with PLM and document management tools (Switch 3DX, Teamcenter, etc.)
- Strong analytical, organisational, and project management skills with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to engage with internal and external teams
