The summer holidays may already feel like a distant memory, but one thing is clear... the demand for Computer Science and ICT teachers across Kirklees is higher than ever.
At Hays Education, we work in partnership with 14 secondary schools across Huddersfield, Batley and the wider Kirklees area, and the first few weeks of term have been incredibly busy. In fact, we have already successfully filled four long-term Computer Science and ICT positions, and demand continues to grow.
The challenge? We have more schools looking for quality teachers than we currently have available candidates.
The Opportunity We are looking to register enthusiastic and dedicated Computer Science and ICT Teachers for a range of long-term opportunities, with many schools offering the potential to move into a permanent role. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to begin your teaching career, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering engaging Computer Science and ICT lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Inspiring students to develop digital, programming and problem-solving skills
- Planning and assessing work in line with the national curriculum
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Supporting students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential
What We're Looking For UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching the Computer Science and/or ICT curriculum within the last three years
A passion for technology, education and student achievement
Strong classroom management and communication skills
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
