Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct compliance verification and technical checking of design and certification data for Electrical and Avionics systems.
- Support design changes and installations within the UK CAA Part 21J Design Organisation.
- Manage and coordinate design and certification engineers and projects from inception to service release.
- Compile, technically check, and verify compliance of certification programmes and documentation.
- Perform compliance verification and checking of Electrical Load Analyses, Equipment Assessments, and system safety assessments.
Key Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of aircraft Electrical Systems and/or Avionic Systems.
- Detailed knowledge of Part 21, CS/FAR 23 and 25.
- Experience in design and integration of complex projects under civil or military airworthiness regulations.

About the Role
We are seeking a Electrical/Avionics Compliance Verification Engineer to join our UK CAA Part 21J Design Organisation. This role is responsible for the compliance verification and technical checking of design and certification data relating to Electrical and Avionics systems, supporting design changes and installations. This is a mid to senior level role that will also require some management, leadership and co-ordination of design and certification engineers and projects from blank piece of paper to release to service, working with 2Excel’s Production and Maintenance Organisations.
Essential
- Extensive knowledge of specialist areas; aircraft Electrical Systems and/or Avionic Systems.
- Detailed knowledge of Part 21, CS/FAR 23 and 25.
- Experience of design and integration of complex projects on aircraft under civil or military airworthiness regulations
- Ability to compile, technically check and verify compliance of certification programme, compliance checklist, and other certification documentation.
- Experienced in compliance verification and checking of some or all of: Electrical Load Analyses, Equipment Assessments, EWIS and EZAP analysis, Electromagnetic and Ground Function Test Plans and Reports, system safety assessments and functional hazard assessments, according to technical specialism.
Desirable
- It would be desirable to have experience working on one or more of Beechcraft King Air, Piper PA-31, Boeing 737 or Boeing 757 aircraft.
- Experience of special mission modifications to aircraft.
- Knowledge/experience of working under Military Aviation Authority Design Approved Organization Scheme (DAOS).
