About the Role
Support the organisation in strengthening compliance processes and systems, particularly around apprenticeship standards and training programmes.
Work closely with external assessors to ensure requirements are met and improvements are properly embedded.
Implement the post audit action plan with precision and attention to detail, ahead of the internal audit in November.
Carry out performance checks against funding rules, and help clear the existing compliance backlog.
Maintain accurate data and documentation across both the online portal and paper based systems.
Provide clear, well organised documentation to evidence compliance for future inspections and audits.
Contribute to embedding stronger audit systems for the longer term (some systems already exist, so experience improving on an existing framework is helpful).
What We're Looking For
- Strong background in compliance and audit, ideally within education, training or apprenticeship standards; candidates with an accounting or auditing background will also be considered.
- Assessor qualification desirable but not essential.
- Comfortable working across both paper based and online portal systems.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and confident handling data.
- Educated to GCSE level as a minimum; a broader education sector background is a plus.
- Detail orientated and methodical, able to work independently and see tasks through to completion.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain; checks will be made).
