Key Responsibilities
- Undertake scheduled compliance inspections covering Legionella, asbestos, fire systems, emergency egress and M&E plant
- Identify areas of non-compliance and raise appropriate remedial actions through CAFM systems
- Take appropriate action where life-safety systems are compromised
- Produce accurate compliance documentation and maintain high standards of record keeping
- Maintain the integrity of compliance information held within CAFM systems
- Carry out minor repairs and adjustments where required
- Support planned, reactive and remedial works programmes
- Work independently across multiple sites, prioritising statutory deadlines and risk
- Provide technical compliance advice to site managers and other stakeholders
- Liaise effectively with contractors and internal teams
- Complete risk assessments and work safely within plant rooms, roof spaces and other challenging environments
What We're Looking For
- The successful candidate will have practical knowledge and experience across property and M&E compliance, with a good understanding of relevant health and safety legislation.
- In particular, you should have knowledge of:
- Asbestos management
- Legionella and water management
- Fire alarm operation and management
- Emergency lighting operation and management
- Health & Safety at Work requirements
- Working independently and managing a varied workload across multiple sites
- You will also need strong communication and IT skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure and a full clean driving licence.
- A First Aid at Work certificate is desirable, although candidates willing to work towards this can be considered.
- The position is also subject to DBS clearance.
