Summary: The Compliance Officer role involves working with a public sector organization in Birmingham on a temporary contract for initially 4 months, with the possibility of extension. The position requires a full-time commitment of 37 hours per week, with a hybrid working arrangement of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing advice and guidance in relation to compliance on externally funded projects
  • Assisting on audits and data with the central site
  • Supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of project management to maximise the robustness of the data to meet audit requirements
  • Producing review reports and establishing systems needed to monitor performance
  • Attending project review meetings to report on potential areas for risk, and recording actions

Key Skills:

  • Public sector experience desirable
  • Highly competent within compliance, particularly around audit and risk
  • Previous experience using SharePoint is highly advantageous

Salary (Rate): £24.00/hr

Detailed Description From Employer:

We are currently partnering with a public sector organisation based in Birmingham , who are recruiting for a Compliance Officer to join their team on a temporary contract, initially for 4-months, with potential to be extended. This is a full-time position ( 37 hours per week ), and will require 3 days in the office in Birmingham, and offer 2 days home working. The position is offering an hourly rate of circa £20 per hour via an Umbrella company, and the hiring manager is looking to interview and get someone started as soon as possible.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing advice and guidance in relation to compliance on externally funded projects
  • Assisting on audits and data with the central site
  • Supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of project management to maximise the robustness of the data to meet audit requirements
  • Producing review reports and establishing systems needed to monitor performance

Experience required:

  • Public sector experience desirable
