Summary: The Completion and Close Out Work Package Manager is responsible for ensuring the practical completion sign-off of equipment at Heartlands Hospital, Birmingham, in accordance with project specifications. This role involves managing the closeout process, including documentation and handover to the Centrica O+M team, while liaising with various stakeholders and subcontractors. The position requires a mechanically biased project management approach to achieve early financial savings and ensure systems functionality. The contract duration is between 3 to 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain practical completion sign-off from the Trust and CEF against PO criteria and specifications.
  • Manage the closeout and handover of equipment, ensuring all documentation is captured for sign-off.
  • Create and close out final equipment checks, snagging, and sign-offs according to drawings.
  • Record and plan early saving financial business gains.
  • Liaise and organize subcontractors for the completion of works, monitoring and inspecting progress.
  • Collaborate with M+E Manager, Document Control, Principal Engineer, and Site Staff to ensure systems are functional.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in project management within the construction or engineering sector.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Ability to manage documentation and compliance for project sign-offs.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience in liaising with subcontractors and various stakeholders.
