Summary: The Company Accountant role in Manchester City Centre is a hands-on position for a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA) within a rapidly growing e-commerce SME. The successful candidate will take ownership of the finance function, manage financial reporting, and support strategic decision-making. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with an immediate start required in April 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full ownership of management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting
• Cash flow management and financial reporting
• Overseeing transactional finance, including payroll, VAT, and reconciliations
• Supporting commercial decision-making with insightful financial analysis
• Implementing and improving financial processes and controls
• Liaising with external stakeholders, including auditors and banks
• Ownership of Year End

Key Skills:

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA) with SME experience
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and commercial awareness
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills to partner with senior leadership
• Experience within an e-commerce or retail business is highly desirable
