Community Staff Nurse

Summary: An opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse to join the Overnight District Nursing Service within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, covering multiple geographical zones. The role requires a confident and competent nurse with a wide range of clinical skills and a flexible approach to work. The position is initially based at Ysbyty Cwm Cynon and is a fixed-term secondment for three months. Applicants must have permission from their current line manager to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care for patients outside of the hospital environment during out-of-hours.
• Support and collaborate with a friendly and enthusiastic team of staff.
• Travel between allocated geographical zones in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development.

Key Skills:

• Registered Nurse with current UK NMC registration.
• Experience in a wide range of clinical skills, including palliative care and chronic disease management.
• Competence in wound management.
• Post-registration experience.
• Trained in Male and Female catheterisation and syringe pump drivers (desirable).
