Summary: The Community Safety and Corporate Resilience Manager will oversee the Community Safety and Emergency Planning & Corporate Resilience Teams for a local government organization in Newham, London. This role involves managing service delivery, developing partnerships, and providing professional advice to senior officials. The position is initially a 3-month contract with the potential for extension and requires hybrid working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Community Safety and Emergency Planning & Corporate Resilience Teams.
- Develop relationships with external partners, including the London Fire Brigade and Metropolitan Police.
- Provide professional advice on effective delivery processes and community safety priorities.
- Oversee strategies for VAWG, Modern Slavery, Hate Crime, and Violence Reduction.
- Administer domestic abuse related death reviews in partnership with relevant services.
- Support the Community Safety Partnership and assist in budget and action plan development.
- Lead the annual strategic assessment of crime and disorder and produce the Community Safety Plan.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant legislation and prepare reports for senior management.
Key Skills:
- Strong understanding of crime reduction and community safety legislation.
- Knowledge of local, regional, and national community safety policies.
- Experience in commissioning services to reduce antisocial behavior and crime.
- Project management experience with demanding deadlines.
- Experience in handling major and emergency incidents.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a community safety or corporate resilience role.
Salary (Rate): 320.00
