Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a defined caseload under the Care Programme Approach (CPA)
- Conduct comprehensive mental health and risk assessments
- Develop and implement individualised care plans and therapeutic interventions
- Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support
- Administer depot medication and monitor treatment compliance
- Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team (MDT)
- Liaise with GPs, social workers, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with NHS standards
- Supervise junior staff and student nurses as appropriate
Key Skills:
- Experience as a Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN)
- Strong understanding of mental health conditions and treatments

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting experienced Community Psychiatric Nurses (CPNs) for a full-time agency contract within the NHS Adults Community Mental Health Team based in the Wisbech area.
Contract Details:
- Location: Wisbech, Cambridge (Community-based role)
- Hours: Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Pay Rates: £27.00 per hour (Umbrella) £21.71 per hour (PAYE, inclusive)
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will manage a caseload of up to 25 patients with severe and enduring mental health conditions. This is a community-based role involving:
- Administering depot injections and managing patients on Clozapine
- Participating in the duty rota and assessment rota
- Completing all clinical documentation including risk assessments, care plans, and crisis plans
- Managing safeguarding concerns and liaising with appropriate agencies
- Working both autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Delivering meaningful interventions to support recovery and continuity of care
- Engaging with external services to ensure a cohesive care journey for each patient
