Summary: The Community Physiotherapist role involves joining the South Cumbria Community Therapy Team to provide high-quality care to patients in various community settings. The position requires a proactive and adaptable physiotherapist who can work independently and manage a caseload of patients with complex needs. Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake specialist assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients in their homes, community hospitals, or residential/nursing homes.
• Work autonomously, managing a caseload without direct supervision.
• Participate in in-service training and personal development plans to enhance clinical skills.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, carers, and other professionals, ensuring accurate clinical records.
• Assist in planning and delivering training and education sessions for team members.
• Supervise the clinical practice of support staff, Band 5 physiotherapists, and students.
• Participate in research and audit as requested by the physiotherapy manager.
• Be responsible for the clinical education of physiotherapy undergraduates on placement.
