Summary: The Community Payback Officer role involves supervising service users engaged in community payback activities in Reading. The position requires conducting inductions, ensuring health and safety compliance, and maintaining accurate records. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Pre-Placement Unpaid Work Induction sessions.
  • Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed and complete associated paperwork accurately.
  • Ensure appropriate tools, equipment, and supplies are available and used safely by service users.
  • Use motivational techniques to ensure service users complete assigned work in a disciplined manner.
  • Monitor attendance of service users and promote successful completions.
  • Maintain service users' records in accordance with organisational requirements.

Key Skills:

  • Effective inter-personal skills for constructive supervision.
  • Problem-solving experience in a workplace or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of safety at work, public protection, and risk of harm.
  • Basic knowledge of First Aid and willingness to undertake further training.
  • Driving Licence.
