Summary: The Community Payback Officer role involves supervising service users engaged in community payback activities in Sandwell. The position requires conducting inductions, ensuring health and safety compliance, and maintaining accurate records. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Pre-Placement Unpaid Work Induction sessions
- Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed, alerting relevant staff to any risks and completing associated paperwork accurately and on time
- Ensure appropriate tools, equipment, and supplies are available and that instructions for safe use are followed by service users
- Use pro-social and motivational techniques to ensure service users complete assigned work in a disciplined manner
- Monitor attendance of service users and promote successful completions
- Maintain service users' records in accordance with organisational requirements, ensuring timely and accurate updates on the case management system
Key Skills:
- Effective inter-personal skills with the ability to supervise constructively while maintaining authority
- Evidence of problem-solving within a workplace or similar environment
- Knowledge of safety at work, public protection, and risk of harm
- Basic knowledge of First Aid and willingness to undertake further training
- Driving Licence
