Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking assessments for equipment and social care support needs.
  • Providing expert advice and assessments for equipment and home modifications.
  • Recommending adaptations and conducting moving and handling assessments.
  • Providing training to disabled people, carers, and staff on moving and handling.
  • Carrying out moving and handling risk assessments and making recommendations for equipment.
  • Assessing people's equipment, adaptations, and housing needs.
  • Ensuring safeguarding of vulnerable people and maintaining dignity and respect.

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience as an Occupational Therapist in the community.
  • Experience with major adaptations.
  • Manual handling experience.
  • HCPC Registration.
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB (can be obtained by the employer).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Occupational Therapist Qualification.
