Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment of service users and carers with complex needs related to home environment.
- Undertaking assessments for equipment and social care support needs.
- Providing expert advice and assessments for equipment and home modifications.
- Recommending adaptations and conducting moving and handling assessments.
- Providing training to disabled people, carers, and staff on moving and handling.
- Carrying out moving and handling risk assessments and making recommendations for equipment.
- Assessing people's equipment, adaptations, and housing needs.
- Ensuring safeguarding of vulnerable people and maintaining dignity and respect.
Key Skills:
- Previous experience as an Occupational Therapist in the community.
- Experience with major adaptations.
- Manual handling experience.
- HCPC Registration.
- Enhanced DBS/CRB (can be obtained by the employer).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Occupational Therapist Qualification.
